5 Year Anniversary!!!

Five years ago today was one of the greatest days of my life (next to the day we found out I was pregnant)! It doesn't seem like Joel and I have been married for 5 years...how our lives have changed since our wedding day. We should be in Vegas right now re-newing our vows, but a baby is more important. Joel wanted to dress up in a Star Wars costume, go to some cheesy wedding chapel, have Jess sing and smash the guitar when she was done, someone tackle him right before we said our vows, all while having it video taped. Maybe he'll get his dream one day, but this year isn't his lucky day.

We're not doing anything very exciting for our anniversary. We're headed over to the Red Dome tonight to eat and then back home. Everyone calls us Bob and Rosie (Joel's grandparents) because we're like a little old couple that doesn't do much. We like to eat supper around 5-6, Joel used to watch Wheel of Fortune with me but doesn't any more, we have a scanner and use it any time we hear sirens, and Joel has his Grandpa's demeanor....ornery! I loved pulling out the picture below. It is amazing how everyone has changed in the last five years. The additions to families, Joel and I both have a few more wrinkles, and all of the kids have really changed and grown up. Especially Tanner!
