3 months

Lily was 3 months old on Thursday.

Of course, she's growing way too fast.  She's not that little baby that we brought home from the hospital a few months ago.  She's a little chunk!  She's in size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.  Some of the 3-6 month stuff is too small and she can get into some 6-9 month stuff already.
Check out her thighs!

She loves attention and to be talked to.  If you talk to her, she'll usually "talk" back and smile.  She also is IN LOVE with her big sister.  She'll watch Ainsley and if Ainsley is anywhere around, Lily will get a big smile on her face.

She's been taking right around 6 ounces at a time and is fed when she starts getting fussy, which is usually every 3-4 hours, but sometimes it's shorter.  Bedtime is getting better and she's been falling asleep around 10 and waking up between 5-7.  I can't remember the last time we actually had to get up in the middle of the night with her.  I really hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that, but it's been pretty nice to get a good 7 hours of sleep each night!

If she stays home with me, she'll usually wake up in the morning, take a bottle and fall asleep an hour later in her swing.  She'll then sleep all morning.  I'm talking about sleeping until noon some days.  Evenings are our worst time of the day, but we really can't complain much about them either.  She's a pretty good baby!

Her eyes are staying pretty grey, but I think they're going to be brown instead of blue like Ainsley's.  Lily's face is also more narrow and long compared to Ainsley round face!

I got her bumbo seat out a few weeks ago and she's doing good sitting up in it.  She likes to be able to watch us fix supper or Ainsley run around while sitting up.  Her little (or not so little) thighs are already getting stuck in the seat, but I know that will only continue to get worse in the months to come.

It seems like Lily isn't getting satisfied at night with her bottles because she constantly wants to eat, so I thought I'd try to give her some cereal the other night.  She wasn't a fan.  She wanted to talk to me instead of eat it, and I don't know if she even got any of it down.  I think I'll try again in a week or so to see if she's ready.

Ainsley colored Grandma Shelly's birthday card while watching Lily try to eat

If she doesn't have a bow, her hair is over her eyes and in her mouth.  Yuck!  I wish the little stinker would let me put it in a ponytail, but she absolutely refuses!
