Happy Birthday, Surprise!

It feels like we've had birthday parties every weekend for the last few months.  Ainsley gets really excited for each one and will sing "Happy Birthday" with her own little twist.  She'll walk around the house singing "Happy Birthday" and then at the end yell "Surprise!"  I'm pretty sure she got it from the Mickey Mouse episode of Minnie's surprise birthday party.

Hadlee turned 2 at the beginning of September.  Ainsley couldn't wait to go to her party.  Of course, she wanted to open all the presents and take Hadlee's new toys.

Jillian liked the blue icing!!!

Hadlee was jealous there was a baby on her Daddy's lap...she has no clue what's coming in a few months!

Fighting over Hadlee's new Minnie helmet

I'm thinking a scooter and helmet are in order for this little girl for Christmas!
JD turned 4 the following week and Joel was able to run with us to his birthday party for a little while. He had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party, complete with a piñata.  Ainsley wouldn't hit the piñata, but was quick to get in and get some candy!

My friend Gretchen's husband surprised her with a party bus for her birthday a few weeks ago.  I was so happy Joel was able to go with us.  We were able to pull off the party, and Gretchen really was surprised!  It was definitely nice to have a night out, and I took advantage of it.  The next day wasn't so fun, but that night sure was!

Me and the birthday girl!

Drake's 5th birthday party was the next day, so we picked the girls up from Mom's and headed to another party.  Ainsley was excited to go to Fer and Drake's house.  It was nice outside, so the kids were able to play outside.  Of course, Ainsley started crying and covered her face as soon as everyone started singing Happy Birthday to Drake.  She's been doing this for a few months now and we have no idea why!  She loves to walk around the house and sing Happy Birthday and is excited to go to the party, but as soon as everyone starts singing, she loses it.  I know I hated for people to sing Happy Birthday to me when I was little and would cover my face, but I wasn't nearly as dramatic as our little diva!

My little girl is growing up....eating at the kids table

Ainsley and Avelyn had it figured out....Ainsley pushed the pedal while Avelyn took the steering wheel

I think Ashton needs a lego table for Christmas!
