End of summer

Summer is quickly coming to an end, and I have to say that I'm ready for fall!  The girls ask to go outside every day, but it's been way too hot in the last few weeks.  There were a few nice days earlier in August that we took advantage of.

Little sister discovered the fun of water puddles!

Lily wants to ride/drive the Gator all the time.  She's not big enough to actually touch the pedal and drive, and likes to jump out when she's in the passenger seat, so we stuck her in the back one afternoon.  Ainsley and Lily were both happy with that arrangement.

Ainsley asks if we can eat outside for lunch about every day.  It's been too hot, but I'm hoping it starts cooling off again, so we can get back outside.

If it was up to the girls, we'd take a walk to the park every day.  If it was a straight shot to the park, I think we may be there more, but it's not fun when Ainsley looks at me and tells me she has to go to the bathroom "sooooo bad" when we're at the park with the wagon or stroller!

 

We went swimming last weekend for what I'm sure was the last time for the summer.  Ainsley almost got the courage to jump off the diving board, but chickened out once she got up there.

Mom and Mark came up to get the girls for a few nights before school started.  They took them and Rowdy to Raging Rivers, and everyone had a good time.  The park wasn't very busy, and they were able to go down any water slide they wanted.  Ainsley even went down one of the big ones by herself!
