Happy Easter!

Ainsley's first Easter was great!  The Easter Bunny visited and brought her Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, a puppy, and a new dress and cardigan.

Ainsley Easter 2011

Ainsley in her bonnet.  Check out that chubby face!

It was a beautiful weekend and we were able to spend some time with family.  We went to Grandma Bowman's Saturday, where Ainsley was spoiled with gifts, kisses, attention, and lots of cuddling. Here's a video of Ainsley with her duck that Aunt Royce got her for Easter.  It's hard to believe that next year Ainsley will be able to go outside and hunt eggs/candy with the rest of the kids.  Monster baby (Taze) was very interested in Ainsley and wanted to touch her and figure her out.  I told him that next year she'll be his size and he better watch out!

Someone isn't happy

Ainsley and all her Easter gifts-she's not the least bit spoiled.

We were able to get another 5 generation picture.  It took a while and a few shots, but I think Joel caught at least one good one.  I'm hoping Mark got a few more good ones.  It's hard to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time when everyone is worried about someone else.  We finally had to yell at Grandma Mary because everyone was trying to get Ainsley to look at the camera and Grandma started clapping her hands and bending down talking to Ainsley, so when Ainsley finally looked up, Grandma was clapping...go figure!

Grandma was too worried about Ainsley than looking at the camera!

Finally got a good one where everyone's looking (except for Ainsley)!

Sunday we went to Aunt Do's for lunch and Ainsley was never put down the entire time she was there.  She is definately one spoiled little girl!  Everyone enjoyed holding her and checking out her chunky little thighs!

Aunt Do has plenty of photo props!

She wants out of that basket!!!

Freeman Family Easter 2011

I worked most of the weekend and was completely wore out.  I finally got most of my work caught up last night around 10 and tried to take a few hours off today to run a few errands.  The next couple of weeks are going to be pretty busy, but I'm hoping to find some time to relax with Ainsley.  It's still really wet, and Joel hasn't been able to get back in the fields.  Hopefully in the next few days they can start working again.

Ainsley has found her hands, and they seem to be in her mouth constantly.  She'll suck on her fists, fingers, or any part of her hand that she can get in her mouth.  We're in a schedule now where she goes to bed in between 9-10, gets up at 3 to eat, and then sleeps until 5:30 or 6.  I never thought we'd get to this point, and I must say that it's pretty nice!

I took her to the doctor this afternoon so they could look at her head.  It's pretty flat on the back, and I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get it corrected.  The doctor said that it's normal and the bones haven't fused together wrong or anything, but it's just because they tell you to lay them on their back and it's going to cause her head to be a little flat.   She said that it should correct itself and she's not worried about it.  She felt her neck to make sure she didn't have tight muscles and wants us to watch her to make sure her neck muscles don't get tight.  If that happens, she said she'll need therapy.  She told us to continue to try to prop her head to the other side and in the next few months, when she starts sitting up, it should start to correct itself.

They weighed Ainsley while we were in the office, and she weighs 14 pounds 2 ounces!  She's really filling out and getting chubby.  She's almost out of her 3-6 month sleepers already.  We can't believe how much she's changed.

Here is a video of Ainsley talking.  I just love her little coos!  A bonus with this video-she's wearing Uncle Thom's favorite outfit of Ainsley's!

Need.Time.To.Breathe.

The last few weeks have been unbelievably busy.  I've been very busy with work, and it seems like there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done.  Laundry is piling up, the house needs clean, bills need paid, and yet another day passes without getting to any of it.  Last weekend I had the March of Dimes walk on Saturday morning and then Joel's family had Easter on Sunday.  It was too cold and windy to walk the entire walk, so we only walked the first quarter or so.  That reminds me...I forgot to watch the news that night to see if we made it.  Did anyone catch the Springfield news Saturday night and see me, Josh, Kathleen, Nathan, and Augie?  Rita watched Ainsley for me while I went to Springfield for the walk and then ran some errands after.

We went to Joel's family Sunday for lunch and then came home and Joel went straight to the fields.  It was dry, so he worked Sunday afternoon and evening.  Tuesday morning I woke up around 3 and started throwing up.  I ended up throwing up most of the day Tuesday.  I was still really sore yesterday when I woke up.  I ran a temperature all day Tuesday also.  I think I had food poinsoning, because there were about 10 people that went Sunday who all ended up sick Tuesday.  All I can say is I'm glad it's over and I feel better.  I haven't thrown up in years...actually, the last time I threw up was in the back of Jamie's parents' van in the McDonald's drive thru at 10 in the morning the day after St. Patrick's Day weekend!  (Sorry, Frank and Sharon!)  Luckily, it rained Monday night so Joel stayed home with Ainsley all day.  He did really good with her, even if he did leave her in her pajamas all day!  He gave her a bath for the first time that night, and didn't complain too much.  When I went to upload videos to the computer, this is what I found.  Watch this video to see what Daddy and Ainsley do together!

Daddy finally got a poopy diaper!

Ainsley's wondering who the guy is changing her poopy diaper, and why he's making all those gagging noises!

Ainsley laughed for the first time last week and she'll "talk" to you.  It takes her a while to find her voice, but once she gets one coo out, she'll usually give you a couple more.  Something I'm really excited about is that Ainsley has only gotten up once throughout the night the last three nights in a row!  She's woke up at 3, taken a bottle and went right back to sleep and slept until 6.  It makes a huge difference getting 5 1/2 to 6 hours of sleep straight!

Happy baby after her bath

Don't let this picture fool you...she was crying right after I snapped it.  She doesn't care for hats!

She's always so happy first thing in the morning!

Well, as I mentioned before, I haven't had time to do anything in the last few weeks.  That includes getting Easter cards out...I had taken a picture for the cards but never got a chance to get them ordered, so here you go...Happy Easter!
I'm really packing on the pounds!

Spring is here!

The last couple of days have been really warm.  We've had the windwos open since it has been in the 80's, but today is was so stuffy that we stayed in the basement for the majority of the day.  I put most of her 0-3 month stuff away today and washed all her 3-6 month clothes.  While I was putting the 0-3 month stuff away, I pulled out one of her newborn onesies and it is so hard to believe that it was too big on her at one time.  While giving her a bath tonight, I noticed that she has really grown.  I know she's grown, but she looked huge tonight.  She is changing so much and it's so hard!  I was able to sit in the basement this afternoon and hold her on my chest for two hours while she took a nap.  I haven't been able to do that in a couple weeks, because as soon as she would get done with her bottle, she would want out of my arms.  I'm looking forward to many more naps with her snuggling with me in the future!

9 week picture
We had a pretty busy week.  I've been busy with work, so Mom came up Tuesday, Dad came up Thursday, and I took her to Jennifer's on Wednesday.  Of course, she slept the entire day for Mom.  I don't know what it is about Mom, but every time she comes up, Ainsley sleeps while she's here.  It was so funny to see her with Dad.  She smiles every time he talks to her.  If he would get up to do something, she would follow him and wouldn't take her eyes off of him!

Ainsley had an exciting day on Wednesday with Aunt Jennifer and Drake.  She pooped that morning, so Jennifer told Drake, and of course, he had to go over to watch while she changed her diaper.  Drake is obsessed with poop.  If anyone goes to the bathroom, he wants to see it and flush the toilet!  Jennifer could see it was green when she opened up the diaper, and quickly found out she wasn't done pooping.  She said she looked over at Drake and he was gagging and thought he was going to throw up from seeing the poop!  She didn't know if she was going to have to clean up a poopy diaper and throw up, but luckily, Drake didn't throw up.  Once she got Ainsley cleaned up, she had to call me, and of course, Drake couldn't wait to tell me that "Ainsley's poop was green, and I gagged!"  I called Joel to tell him (he won't let Drake flush after he goes to the bathroom, and knows of his obsession), and he said "Good, maybe he won't want to look at everyone's poop now".  I thought the same thing, but when I went to pick up Ainsley later that afternoon, Drake was laying on the living room floor watching cats poop on a toilet on Youtube!  Jennifer said he was watching Mickey Mouse and she has no clue how he ended up with cats pooping, but he couldn't wait to show me all the videos he found!  I'm sure both Drake and Ainsley will appreciate that story in a few years.

Ainsley's ready to go visiting with Aunt Jen
Jennifer and Drake took Ainsley to visit Bill and Bettigail, Aunt Jo, and Envirovac.  She said Drake did a little better than the last time, and wasn't as jealous.  Although, he did tell her that Ainsley needed to go home a few times.

Saturday we went to Springfield to meet Aunt Kay, Aunt Sudi, Abby and JD for lunch.  We had a good time at lunch, and then went to Hobby Lobby to look for wedding decorations for Abby.  She found a few, and hopefully in the next few months, she decides on the rest of the decorations!

Tummy time this morning!

2 months

Friday, Ainsley was two months old.  She's getting too long for some of her 0-3 month sleepers.  It's amazing how fast she changes!

Ainsley-2 months

She loves to get her arms and legs kicking!
Joel got up with her this morning and let me sleep in a little.  The picture below is how I found her when I got up.

He got up with her once in the middle of the night and she peed before he could get the new diaper under her, so he had to take off her sleeper.  Then, this morning, I could hear him in there griping while changing her diaper about how bad she stunk and how she wasn't done going, etc.  Is it bad that even though I hear him, I continue to lay in bed and quietly laugh about it, while pretending I'm still asleep?

We went to Jodi's baby shower yesterday, and it was Ainsley's first baby shower.  She did really good, and can't wait to play with baby boy Bangert!

All ready for Jodi's baby shower!

Ok, Mom-enough with the pictures, already.  I'm bored!

I caught this video the other day on my phone.  Can you guess what she was doing???

This video was from one morning last week.  She loves to lay on her changing table and look out the window.
