April was a very busy month for us. I felt like I was constantly running around and not getting anything accomplished, but looking back at pictures, I can see that we accomplished quite a bit. We had fun! As long as we accomplished having some fun, the house that was a complete disaster, and everything else that I was behind with didn't really matter.

We did a lot of baking....which doesn't help me with getting off the last 10-15 pounds of baby weight from a year ago!
Ainsley has discovered games. She got a Doc McStuffins Operation game for her birthday, and she loves playing it. Some other favorites are: matching, hide and seek, and Old Maid. She doesn't fully understand some of the concepts of the games though. If you play Old Maid with her, she'll do anything she can to keep the Old Maid. She says it's her favorite! Of course, little sister always wants in on the fun, and is usually run out of the room by big sister. Lily has figured out how to use Ainsley's Leap Pad, and if she sees it laying on the floor, she's on it in no time!

Ainsley also went through a few months of loving the alphabet and letters. She can recognize quite a few letters, but 'A' is an easy one. She's pointed out an 'A' and an 'X' in the sky to me. It also made me realize to look up at the sky every once in a while. It's amazing what little kids see that we miss everyday from being so busy and caught up with everything else going on. She even found an 'A' on her waffle one morning at breakfast. I couldn't believe it when she showed it to me and said: "Look, Mommy, an 'A'!"
Spaghetti nights are always fun, and both girls love eating the noodles. I have to admit that cleanup after spaghetti or ravioli nights isn't fun, though!
Ainsley always loved looking out the front door when she was a baby, and still enjoys it now. Lily, on the other hand, doesn't care about watching the happenings of the street. If Ainsley's at the door, though, you can guarantee that Monster baby will be quick to follow.

I don't even remember why we had to take Ainsley to the doctor at this point. It was probably another ear infection, but she had to be put on an antibiotic, which she refused to take. We even let her practice on Mommy and Daddy, but it didn't work. I was finally able to get enough chocolate syrup in her milk and mixed with her medicine that she didn't notice. I've learned you do what you have to sometimes, even if it's making chocolate milk medicine using 1/4-1/2 cup of chocolate syrup to 1/2 cup of milk with 2 tsp of medicine. As long as she brushes her teeth, she'll be ok. Right?!
The girls are constantly doing things that Joel and I just have to sit back and laugh at. If they're being quiet, you better start looking for them!

Snow White even accompanied us to Lily's doctor's appointment and Walgreens one rainy day in April!
I can't tell you how many donuts Ainsley's ate in the last few months. One of her favorite (and mine, too) Mommy-Ainsley dates is going to the Donut Shop for donuts. She always gets one with sprinkles on it, but we got there later than usual one morning, and they literally only had two donuts left. TWO! So, we had to settle on some pink donut holes they had packaged up. Ainsley wasn't too happy!
