Ainsley's First Christmas

Ainsley had a great Christmas!  She got to spend a lot of time with family and got lots of cool toys.  We had a very busy weekend.   Friday night we went to Kara and Paul's for Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Bowman.  We did Christmas with Dad on Saturday and then went to the Dyche's for the evening.  Sunday (Christmas Day) we went to Jim and Rita's and Aunt Doris's.

Freeman family 2011
Friday night consisted of a bunch of kids running around, one getting locked in the dog cage, seeded grapes in the grape salad, another kid getting locked in the bathroom, and the dog bone being one of the best "toys".  Joel said Ainsley looked like a clown in her outfit, and Grandma Mary didn't understand why she had to have that "thing" on her head.   Here's a video of Ainsley dancing to the new dog she got from Grandma and Grandpa Bowman.

Taze loves that cookie!

Aunt Di, Joelle, and Ainsley....this is right before Joelle "pinched" Ainsley!

Concentrating hard on getting that present opened.

Ainsley's new headband.  Grandma Mary didn't like that one on her head either....

I would make that face too, if Uncle Tanner was holding me!

Ainsley stole the dog bone from Taze, so she could chew on it.
We had Christmas with Dad on Saturday afternoon, where Ainsley was spoiled.  Jake (the dog) was jealous that he couldn't play with Ainsley's toys.

She got a little piece off!

Wrapping paper=heaven for Ainsley!

Taking a ride in her new wagon

It took an army to put together all her new toys!  (Notice Ainsley in the lower corner...noone is paying attention to her!)

She didn't know what to think of her new horse.

This isn't so bad!!

She loved her new car from Uncle Thomas and Aunt Jamie!

Somone is getting tired.  All that playing wore her out!
We headed to Brian and Jennifer's that evening, where Santa (and cousin Eddie) made an appearance.  Ainsley wasn't too excited about Santa.

Cousin Eddie (Brian's brother, Brent) arrived at the party!

Watching Santa

Drake told Santa he wanted a big green truck and that he'd been a good boy.

Ainsley didn't like Santa!

She still didn't like Santa!

She's better now that she's off of Santa's lap!

Santa visited our house that night and brought Ainsley a bookcase, a bouncy cow, and a few other toys.

Christmas morning.  Santa came!
Scrooge (Joel) appeared Christmas morning and finally went away half way through the day.  Poor Ainsley is going to have some rough Christmas's with Scrooge as a Dad, and his "Bah Humbug" attitude.  We spent Christmas morning at Jim and Rita's, where Ainsley was once again spoiled.

Lani was excited about something!

That afternoon, we stopped by the hospital to visit Mimi before heading down to Rockbridge.  We once again found some photo props at Aunt Doris's.

Ainsley had to try them on too!

And....she's done!
Ainsley did so good this weekend, considering she's been sick for a week or so.  We couldn't have asked for a better baby.  She liked the paper more than the toys this year, and loved all the attention.  She was also wore out!  I think she's finally starting to feel better.  She slept for an hour this morning and took a two and a half nap this afternoon.  She never does that!!!
