Ainsley will be 11 months old tomorrow. That means she's one month away from being a year old. How is that possible???

I know I'm partial, but she is the best baby. She's easy going, is happy most of the time, and loves her Mommy and Daddy.

LOVE this face! |
She's been saying Uh-oh for a few weeks now. Well, it's really more just "ugh", and occasionally she'll get the "oh" after. She started pulling up last Friday. She's finally figuring out how to get back down once she pulls herself up. For the last week, she would pull herself up and then didn't know how to get back down and would cry until someone set her down.

She crashed the other night and was poking herself in the eye while sleeping! |
She absolutely loves going bye-bye now. All you have to do is mention the word, and she starts waving and gets excited. She use to fight you when putting her coat on, but now she helps. It was also a fight to get her fastened in her car seat, but now, she sits there waiting patiently while you strap her in.

Daddy's funny in the background! |
Our house has been a disaster since Christmas. There have been toys everywhere! We finally got her toys put away and she loves playing with all of them. She'll push her tractors on the floor and go "rrrrrrr" as she pushes them. She loves chewing on the farm animals and finding the "moo" cow.
We had a physical therapy appointment last Wednesday and the therapist noticed more improvement. Our instructions were to work to try to get her pulling up and do "baby wall squats" with her. Of course, Ainsley started pulling up two days after our appointment, and we don't go back until the end of January. I'm hoping that this next appointment is one of our last physical therapy appointments.
A few weeks ago, we had our meeting with Child and Family Connections, where the coordinator, physical therapist, and occupational therapist all came to the house to let us know their results they found from their evaluations of Ainsley. The results were that she doesn't qualify for their program. She doesn't have enough of a delay to qualify, and both therapists were able to see her at the meeting and both agreed that she'd changed a lot in the few weeks that they'd seen her last. They both said that she still has some delay on her left side, but it should improve with time. She still has her left hand in a fist when crawling at times, but I've noticed that she doesn't keep it in a fist as often as she was.
We've had a rough week after Christmas. Mimi passed away on Tuesday after being in the hospital for a week. We had visitation Thursday and the funeral was yesterday. She is truely going to be missed. Ainsley was wonderful during the visitation and funeral. She was able to see her cousin Brayden, who is a month older than her at the visitation. She hasn't been around a baby that close to her age in a while. It was funny to watch them. Brayden wanted Ainsley's hair bow and Ainsley just wanted to wrestle with Brayden. She was all over him, and he let her wrestle with him without fighting back.

Ainsley is adorable, as always! Liz and I were talking about how Jameson didn't walk until the week after his 18-month checkup and the doctor was all concerned. So, it sounds like she's doing fine, to me! Love those pictures, especially the third one where she's screwing up her face. Cute!
