Happy New Year!

Ainsley's newest trick is saying "Love You".  Except, hers sounds more like "Ahhhhh buh".  I'm going to try to get a video of it in the next few days.  She's been saying it non stop for the last couple days.  She's also been babbling a lot lately.   She'll sit on the floor and wave her arms and just babble away.

She is becoming more independent each day.  She's started playing with her toys by herself and will crawl from one side of the living room to the other to play with each toy for a few minutes at a time.  Mom and Mark got her a small kitchen for Christmas and she's loves opening the oven and getting the eggs, milk, and cheese out of the refrigerator.

We had Christmas with Mom and Mark on Sunday and Ainsley got lots of new toys.  Her favorite is the kitchen and bouncy bee pull toy.  She had lots of fun playing with the wrapping paper again, and was wore out by late that afternoon.  Tanner gave her a bottle and put her to sleep and I finally had to wake her up, or I think she would have kept sleeping all night!

She loves the paper!

Ainsley once again crying on Uncle Tanner's lap.  He did get her to sleep soon after this, though.
We stopped by Nanny and Papa's before heading to Mom's on Sunday.  Ainsley was scared of Papa at first (I'm assuming because of his beard), but had warmed up by the time we had to leave.  I'm hoping she isn't going to be as shy as I was when I was little, but it does take her a while sometimes to warm up to people, so I'm not going to hold my breath.

We stayed in on New Years Eve.  Lou, Alaina, and Hadlee stayed over that night and I think we were all in bed before midnight.
Ainsley's ready to party!

Ainsley and Hadlee are ready for bed New Years Eve 2011

Ainsley was very interested in Hadlee's carseat

But, she didn't like sitting in it!

My little porker likes to steal other baby's bottles!
Ainsley and I met Dad and Tanner in Springfield on Monday morning to look for a bed for Tanner.  We went to the Dublin Pub for lunch before heading home, and Ainsley got choked/gagged on a yogurt bite or puff and threw up all over in the middle of the restuarant.  This is the second time she's done that now.  The other time was right before Thanksgiving in Longhorn.  I'm beginning to think that I need to stop feeding her altogether in public so she doesn't throw up all over the place!

I'm excited to see what 2012 brings for the Freeman family and spending time with our baby girl.  I don't know how it could get better than 2011 and bringing Ainsley into this world, but I have a feeling it's just going to get better and better each year with her.  She's so much fun and I can't imagine our life without her now.

As I type this, Joel and Ainsley are wrestling on the floor and Joel is currently laying on the floor holding Ainsley upside down by her legs and Ainsley is cracking up and screaming. I can't imagine how much more wrestling would go on in this house if Ainsley was a little boy.
