9 months

Lily was 9 months old on the 18th.  She's changing every day and is a crawling champ!
I took her to the doctor this morning for her 9 month wellness check and she was 25 pounds and 18 1/2 inches long.  She's off the charts for weight (it looked like she was around 105th percentile on the graph) and is a little above the 50th percentile for both length and head.  The doctor said she's perfect, and it felt so good to be able to check off "yes" and "sometimes" instead of "no" on the checklist at the beginning of the appointment.  At Ainsley's 9 month check up, I had to check mostly "no" on the checklist of things she could do.  Lily is definitely doing things sooner than Ainsley did.

Ainsley wanted a picture with her sister!
She still loves her big sister and Mommy is her favorite.  She's changing every day and is crawling and getting into everything! We have to keep the doors closed in the hallway.  Otherwise, she's in every room.  She's pulled up a few times, but she's not doing it all the time.

Avocado face!  She loves it!
Anything she shouldn't have is a favorite toy, and she still loves to grab a handful of Ainsley's hair if she gets close enough.
I've been working on clapping and "so big" with her and she finally did it the other night.

Her hair is staying dark with a (very) reddish tint and her eyes are almost hazel, but it seems like they change color with what she's wearing.  She's in 18-24 month clothes and size 4 diapers.  She has one tooth on the bottom, and is working on the other middle bottom tooth.  I can see the top "fang" teeth starting to come through also.  She can be very fussy at times, but I think I would be also if I was teething.
See that little "pin hole" on her ear?  I have the EXACT same thing on the SAME ear.  Genetics????
Lily loves her food, and we've started phasing out the baby food.  She hasn't eating baby food very good for awhile now, so we're working more on table foods now.  I think carrots have been her favorite so far.  She's had:  toast (cut into 1/4's), peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread, shredded chicken, banana, mandarin oranges and of course puffs and yogurt bites!  I think we're going to give ravioli a try this week!
