Apple Festival

The girls and I headed down to Broom's Apple Festival one Sunday morning.  We met Alaina, Hadlee, Lauren, Grayson, and Amelia there, and then Dad joined us a little later.  As we pulled into the orchard, Ainsley immediately started squealing in the back seat.  She was so excited!
The girls refused to stand in front of the sign this year.  Ainsley was trying to drag Lily out of the picture by her neck...

We got there right as they opened, so it wasn't too busy.  The kids all burned some energy in the bounce houses before checking out the animals and riding the ponies.
Ainsley got in trouble by the guy working right after this for going down head first!

Ainsley loved the horses this year.  Her and Hadlee thought they were Sheriff Callie!  They even rode all by themselves.

It was still mid-late morning and it was really warm.  Everyone was hot, and the girls' faces had turned red.  We headed for the apple orchard, and decided to make it a quick trip.

We got plenty of apples and started heading back.  Everyone was hot and cranky at that point.  Ainsley had a lot of fun picking the apples off the tree this year, especially the ones at the top of the tree with Grandpa Bill!  Lily didn't care about picking the apples, as long as she had one in her hand that she could chew on.  She was my little apple eater!!!

Lily's face is priceless in this one!

Ainsley had lots of fun with Hadlee and Grayson, but we weren't dressed the part that day, and needed to get somewhere with air and out of the heat! Ainsley had a fit when we left because we didn't get pumpkins, and she didn't like my reasoning of it was too hot out, so I had to bribe her into getting into the car.  Even if it was a little warm out, I still think it was a pretty fun day at the orchard!
