Lily was a month old last Saturday. Before we know it, she'll be a year old. It really goes by too quick.

Around 3 1/2 weeks, I began putting her in 0-3 month sleepers instead of newborn. The newborn clothes were starting to get too short. I now have all the newborn clothes put away and she's officially in 0-3 month clothing. I've also switched her over to size 1 diapers, but it was just because I ran out of the newborn size. They're a little big on her, but they get the job done.
It's so easy to forget how fast they grow. I can't believe I've already put the newborn stuff away. She's even been in a 6 month sleeper, but that one ran small. Her legs getting chubbier every day, and I can only hope she's a chubby little baby like Ainsley was. I love the baby rolls!!!
I've noticed Lily watching the mobile on her swing and trying to watch us and Ainsley while sitting in her bouncer. She was in her bouncer a few weeks ago and let out a "coo". She did it again the next night, and then really "talked" to Grandma Rita a few days after that. She hasn't done it since, but Ainsley heard her do it the first time and her eyes got wide and she just looked at Lily after she did it. It was cute!
Lily finally smiled for me one morning this week. She actually did it twice that morning and has only done it one more time for me. She's smiled for Joel a few times, though.

We can't talk to Lily without Ainsley being jealous. If we say "hi" to Lily, Ainsley will pipe up with a "hi" and you have to acknowledge Ainsley said "hi" or else she'll say it fifty times until you repeat it back to her.

It seems like Lily sleeps better at night then Ainsley did, but we still don't have one of those babies that sleeps for 6+ hours at a time unfortunately. Lily's been falling asleep this week around 11 and will get up around 2 or 3 for a bottle. She's usually up right around 6 again for another bottle, and of course, Ainsley gets up around 5:30-6 for the day. The week that Joel was in the fields, I was especially exhausted. He wasn't getting up to help with the girls and running on 4-5 hours of sleep was killing me. Luckily, he's helping with the girls again during the night since it's been too wet to farm.

I switched Ainsley to the "gentle" formula three weeks ago. She was having problems pooping and her belly was upset most of the time, so I decided to try the gentle to see if it helped. It's seemed to help some, but she's still having issues. I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for Tuesday morning to see if we can try to figure out some of her issues. There are days when Lily screams in pain and it's so hard to console her. We tried gripe water with her and it seemed to help at first, but even it doesn't work as well as it did. I tried giving her soy formula earlier this week for a day, but it seemed to be worse on her belly, so I went back to the gentle. It seems like we went through every type of formula with Ainsley before we finally settled on soy with her. I have a feeling we're going to have to try yet another kind of formula before we find the best one for Lily.
I also started adding rice cereal to her bottles a week ago in hopes she would stay full longer. If Lily's awake, she thinks she needs to eat. We haven't noticed much difference by adding cereal to her bottles, so I don't think it's really working the way I hoped.
I took Lily's picture in the outfit I came home from the hospital in a few weeks ago. She didn't care for it much!

Ainsley has turned into quite the little helper. She thinks Lily constantly needs her pacifier. If Ainsley sees Lily without her pacifier, she has to run around the house and find one and then go put it with Lily wherever she may be. It's so funny to watch. Ainsley also has to turn the vibration on the bouncy seat if Lily is in it. Her latest is putting a blanket on Lily if she isn't covered up. I've tried telling her numerous times that Lily doesn't need her pacifier, the vibration, or a blanket, but Ainsley doesn't care. She thinks Lily does!
