We had our first appointment with our regular ob-gyn yesterday. It went great! The baby is doing good and everything is right on schedule. We find out the sex of the baby Oct. 15th. I like my doctor and his nurse was very nice. We had another sonogram today because the doctor was worried that my ovaries were still enlarged. My ovaries looked fine and all of the fluid is now gone. The baby is starting to look like an actual baby now instead of a tadpole, or blob! We could see its arms and legs. It was really moving and VERY active. The heartbeat was at 167. Three weeks ago at my last appointment, it was at 155. The sonogram technician said it can be anywhere from 120-180 depending on the activity level at the time of the sonogram. Check out how much the baby has grown in the last few weeks below. The little appendange sicking out it an arm.
After our appointment I wanted to run into Babies-R-Us to look at furniture and see about getting a belly band (since my jeans are all too small around the waist and I have to leave them all unbuttoned). I didn't find a belly band, but did find some furniture that I liked. Joel didn't complain too much about going in and looking around. He is going to be a great Dad! This mommy had to eat before we came home, so we went to the Olive Garden. It ended up being a great day! (The picture below isn't a very god one. You can't see the legs, but can see that arm sticking out again!)
