Mom and Mark's Wedding

The big wedding was a few weeks ago, and it turned out to be a nice day.  With the wedding and reception outside, you always wonder how the weather will turn out.  There was a nice breeze and it only sprinkled for a few minutes.  We really couldn't have asked for nicer weather.

We decorated that morning and was even able to take a few hours off to get ready before everyone showed up.  There was a couple of times that Elizabeth and I didn't know if we would get the backdrop done in time, but everything worked out just fine.

The wedding was short and sweet (just how I like them).

The ceremony included a "sand ceremony", which consisted of each kid having a different color of sand along with Mom and Mark.  We all poured our color of sand into a big vase and then the two grandkids (Ainsley and Rowdy) put seashells into the vase with the sand in it.  I was so proud of Ainsley.  She actually put her shells in the vase with Rowdy!

Ainsley didn't care about watching the ceremony, and ran around for most of it.

You're now pronounced husband and wife.  You may kiss your bride.  Rowdy didn't know what to think of Grandpa kissing Grandma.  It was so funny!

I think Mom and Mark are both glad to be married, even though it's not really any different than before since they've been together for so many years.

All but one of Mom's siblings was able to make the wedding, so it was nice to see everyone.

Merle, Kim, John, Diann, Joe, Josh, Mom, Mark, Papa, Nanny, Tracy, and Kathleen....just missing Ginnie and Jud

Mom with siblings (missing Ginnie) plus Rowdy in the corner!
Even Grandma Bowman was able to get a "day pass" from the hospital to attend the wedding.  However, she did have a curfew but I think she got back in plenty of time.

Ainsley had lots of fun running around and dancing.

It's fun dancing with Aunt Royce!

Chasing the lights
Ainsley had plenty of people that helped look after her, and of course, Aunt Di was able to "dance" her to sleep.  She just has the magic touch with Ainsley!

Aunt Jamie was nice enough to let Ainsley play with her hair for a little bit.

Emilee chased Ainsley around most of the night.  What we have done without her???
All the kids had a good time and played really well together.
Uncle Josh showing the kids how to throw a football.

Ainsley kissing her newest little cousin, Riley

Poor Delaney....Ainsley stole all her toys and was a bully!
And, of course, the Clark boys had lots of fun at the wedding.  Nathan decided he had to go to the bathroom before the wedding and faced everyone while doing it.  It was pretty funny, but he sure couldn't understand what he did wrong!!!
Augie sure had a good time playing in the dirt!!!
The bigger kids had fun, also.  Well, maybe one had more fun than the others, but you always have one in every crowd, right?!

Here's a few pictures before the wedding.

I still can't figure out how I went the whole day with my belt hanging and noone told me!!

Mom and Mark enjoyed a week away on vacation after the wedding and then came home, only to get Ainsley for a few days.  I know Ainsley had a good time at Grandma's, and I'm sure it was like another mini vacation watching Ainsley for those couple of days.  HA!
