Happy New Year!

We had a pretty good 2012, and I can only imagine 2013 will not disappoint us.  We have a lot to look forward to this year including a baby sister and cousin for Ainsley!

We did a whole lot of nothing this past weekend, including New Years Eve.  Ainsley didn't feel good, and of course, passed it on to me, so we all laid around most of the weekend.  Ainsley ended up throwing up (all over the couch in the basement) Sunday afternoon.  I'm sure it was from all the drainage she had, and not because she had the flu or anything.  She had just fallen asleep and started coughing.  Joel said she sat straight up and threw up everywhere.  I'm so glad Mom got us a "Spot Bot" a few years ago for Christmas because that thing has been a lifesaver!  Our couch no longer smells like vomit, and you can't even tell there was ever any on there.  I would highly recommend anyone with young children to invest in one!
There was a lot of this in the Freeman house over the weekend!

I did manage to get the Christmas tree and all decorations put away over the weekend and all the glitter swept up.  I've told Joel that I'm not going to put the brown and gold decorations back on the tree next year.  The past few years they've been our tree decorations, and we end up with glitter everywhere.  We also got all of Ainsley's Christmas presents put together and put away.
All of her new toys and play jewelry and she would rather get in Mommy's jewelry drawer....
She discovered her plastic click clack dress up shoes, and refused to take them off if she was in the basement!  I can't imagine that it's a good thing that my daughter already has a shoe obsession.  Any shoes, it doesn't matter....Daddy's boots, Mommy's tennis shoes, her rubber boots and now click clack shoes!  Here's a video of her walking in them.
Watching tv in her new folding chair!
Mom got Ainsley a kitchen set for Christmas, which Joel was more than thrilled to put together.  I think it took him a solid two plus hours to get it all together.  He wasn't speaking very well of his mother in law while he was doing it, either!  Ainsley didn't care, though.  She liked helping!

We stayed in all day on New Years Eve.  It snowed most of the morning and into the afternoon.  I caught up on the blog, Joel read, and Ainsley played with all of her new toys.  We made a fort with her new card table, and relaxed.  Ainsley and I were laying in bed by 9:30 and I don't know if either one of us made it to 10 that night.

I didn't sleep very well that night and woke up New Years Day with a terrible sore throat.  I was planning on going into Prompt Care, but it was closed and I didn't want to drive to Springfield.  My throat started feeling better later that morning, but I was still exhausted.  I laid down to take a nap, and ended up doing what Ainsley did a few days before.  I started coughing and ended up throwing up.  We just can't catch a break around here!!!

Joel woke up this morning complaining he doesn't feel good either.  I think Ainsley's finally starting to feel better, which is good.

Here's to hoping 2013 is a healthy one!!!
