I had a quick doctor's appointment this morning as a follow up from Thursday. Dr. Huston wanted to see me today in addition to Thursday of this week because of my high blood pressure. When I got there, my blood pressure was a little high at 130/92. The nurse came back in and took it again a few minutes later and it had gone down some. Dr. Huston thinks I'm developing (or have already developed) gestational hypertension, which is high blood pressure during pregnancy. I'm suppose to take my blood pressure 2-3 times a day for the next few days and let them know if it gets high.
He said there is nothing they can really do about pregnancy hypertension, and they usually just take the baby early. He said that won't be a problem since I'm already full term (37 weeks). As he was releasing me, he said he'd see me again on Thursday during my regular appointment and I'll have a non stress test and sonogram then also. He kind of hinted that they'd probably end up taking her early. So, I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but I have a feeling they'll induce me Friday or early next week.
I've never had high blood pressure, and it was high for the first time on Thursday. I swear, it's always got to be something! Hopefully it will stay down and I won't have any other complications.
Just take care of yourself,Tris. I am sure all will be just fine with you and Lillie Gracey. Love you!
