Father's Day

Last weekend was Father's Day and I'm so glad I can say that we have some pretty awesome Dads to celebrate.

I let Joel sleep in that morning, and Ainsley ended up sleeping in with him!  The girls got Joel a few books and a huge bag of gummy bears for Father's Day.  Joel immediately opened the bag of gummy bears that morning and set them (near the edge of the counter) on the island.  I was walking into the kitchen to watch (in slow motion) Ainsley reach up and grab the end of the bag that wasn't opened and pull on it.  Out came the hundreds of gummy bears onto the floor and Ainsley was left holding the empty bag of gummy bears upside down!  The look on her face was priceless and I was laughing hysterically.  She didn't waste any time and as if it was every day that we have hundreds of gummy bears on our floor, bent down and start eating them!

We went to Brian and Jennifer's for the afternoon.  They just finished their massive addition/backyard makeover, so everyone was able to enjoy the pool and outdoor oasis.

Joel wouldn't let me get Lily out of the bouncer for a picture since she was sleeping....

I was anxious to see how Ainsley would do in the pool, and she had no fear.  Joel got in with her and she loved it!  She wasn't afraid to go under and would walk down the steps all the way under water.  Jumping off the side was especially fun and I don't know how many times she did it.  I'm sure Joel's arms were tired from lifting her onto the side of the pool so much!

Kisses for Daddy!!!  (I love Jack in the background of this one!)

I tried putting water wings on her and she had a meltdown and then asked to get out.  She was tired and hungry!!!

It scares me a little that she's not afraid of the water because she would walk right over to the edge of the pool.  I was so scared she was going to jump in without a life jacket or anything on.  I was glad when we finally left and I relaxed a little not worrying about Ainsley and the pool!
