Christmas weekend

Our Christmas festivities started on Saturday this year and ran through Christmas day.  We went to Aunt Roycelyn's for lunch on Saturday for our first get-together.  After revealing the sex of the new babies and giving all the kids plenty of candy, we ate lunch and opened presents.  Of course, that meant my child got some "candy", too.  No wonder she likes Aunt Di so much.  I caught her giving her a candy cane!!!  Ainsley loved it!

It was our first time being able to watch Ainsley open multiple presents, and see her excitement.  Lisa had sent a present home with us the day before when I picked Ainsley up, and Ainsley unwrapped it Friday afternoon.  It was so much fun to watch her reaction.  She opened up a Minnie Mouse, and as soon as she saw it, she exclaimed:  "Wooooowwww!"  It was so cute!  I couldn't wait to see her reaction to the rest of the presents over the next few days.

Of course, Ainsley was more interested in Taze's presents than her own, and Taze was more interested in Ainsley's new tractor than playing with his new fire truck!

All Aunt Roycelyn wanted for Christmas was new socks, so that's what she got.  And lots of them!
More socks!!
Ainsley liked tearing the wrapping paper off one little piece at a time.  With each little piece she ripped off, she had to throw that piece away before tearing more off.
Just throwing the paper away before she could tear more off.
We all got "flower' pens made out of duct tape, and Ainsley loved it.  She thought everyone needed to smell the flower.

Smell this Aunt Bess

Uncle Thom-you need to smell too!
I think all the kids enjoyed their presents.  Ainsley especially liked a little box she found somewhere.  Why do we spend money on toys again???

Ainsley was wore out by the end of the afternoon, and Aunt Di got her to sleep.  I swear, she has the magic touch and gets Ainsley to sleep every time!

We went home that afternoon to relax for a few hours before getting up the next day to do it all over again.

Here are some pictures of Ainsley wearing Daddy's boots on Saturday morning and then carrying them around with her on Sunday morning before leaving.  She's obsessed with shoes!!!

Someone's mad because she couldn't get the boot on...

Sunday was a busy day for us.  We started out at Aunt Doris's for lunch, then to Nanny and Papa's and finally to Dad's that night where we stayed the night.
JD and Ainsley watching everyone outside
I think my Christmas was complete at lunch when I got a piece of Maggianno's chocolate zuccotto cake!  YUM!!!!

Ainsley was happy with some cheese and crackers.
We were able to get a few pictures in front of the Christmas tree before opening presents at Aunt Do's.

Ainsley got lots of new toys that afternoon.  She loved her new baby doll's belly button!

Excited for something

There's the belly button!!!

Three stooges (plus Jamie) putting together Ainsley new shopping cart

Ainsley knew just what to do with her new shopping cart.  She pushed it around like a pro!
I guess she couldn't take a break from "shopping" and Grandpa had to hold her sippy cup for her...

Aunt Kay and Grandpa helping her put the food in her cart
After we got done with the regular gifts, we moved onto opening the gag gifts.  Aunt Kay found a game on Pinterest where you had to put a plate on your head and draw what she told you (while the plate is on your head).  Ainsley really enjoyed watching everyone.  She just stared at everyone with the plates on their head.  It was pretty funny!  After we were done, she got a plate and pencil and tried putting the plate on the top of her head, too.  She's a smart little cookie!!!
Check out Ainsley in the left corner.  She's just checking everyone out!

Concentrating hard!
We left in time for Ainsley to fall asleep within minutes of leaving Aunt Do's.  We headed to Nanny and Papa's from there, but decided to let Ainsley sleep for a little bit before heading over (which didn't exactly work out as planned, thanks to Uncle Tanner!)
Ainsley stole a toy at Nanny's when one of the kids got up!
We were able to meet the newest addition to the Clark family, Abraham (Abe) that was born on Wednesday.  He's got a head full of hair, and snuggled right up in my arms!
Me with baby Abe

Someone was a little jealous that Mommy was holding another baby and had to sit on my lap!
Little Augie, who is three months older than Ainsley, and Ainsley didn't exactly get along very well.  They fought over a school bus, and of course, I let them, because it was pretty funny!!!  Here's a video of the two of them fighting over it.  I didn't realize that Augie was pinching Ainsley's leg until I watched the video!  Such a little stinker!!!

After visiting for a little bit at Nanny and Papa's, we headed back to Dad's for the night to open presents there.

A new tractor!
She got a new pink princess car from Grandpa!  She was excited, but it wasn't charged, so she couldn't get it to go.

Since Jake (the dog) has destroyed almost all of the balls out of Ainsley ball pit, Thomas and Jamie got her a huge bag of new balls for her ball pit for Christmas.  Ainsley was in heaven!  Here's a video of her playing and laughing in the ball pit.
crazy hair!

I think she finally crashed a little before 11 that night, which is way past her bed time!  We woke up the next morning and let Ainsley play with some of her new toys before heading home to relax for a few hours.  Ainsley was so tired by the time we got home she fell asleep sitting up on the couch!  We let her sleep the rest of the afternoon before heading back out for more festivities.
