Happy Halloween!

Ainsley was so excited about being Cinderella for Halloween this year.  She wanted Lily to be Gus-Gus, which is the fat mouse from Cinderella.  I've already decided that Lily gets to pick out the costumes next year.  She's got the short end of the stick the last two years, being a lamb and a mouse.  I tried making the Gus costume, but I found out rather quickly that using only velcro in place of sewing fabric together doesn't look very good.  Thankfully, Kathleen saved Halloween and was able to make the Gus hat and ears for Lily.

Trick or treating in Chapin was Thursday and Friday night.  We handed out candy Thursday night and the girls had so much fun!  Ainsley would beat me to the door when the doorbell rang, and would already be handing out candy by the time I got to the door.  Lily, on the other hand, was just loving all the candy.  I finally told her no more candy, which caused a major meltdown!
The girls had so much fun at home passing out candy, that we ran out to a few places Halloween afternoon and made it home in time to hand out some more candy to Trick or Treaters.  Ainsley thought it was cool to say "Trick or Treat" this year when we'd stop anywhere.

Trick or treat at the hospital!
Sunday was our "big" trick or treat day, as we headed down to my family to see everyone.  Hudson and Jamie joined us, and we did pretty good at getting to lots of places.  The girls enjoyed seeing everyone, and getting WAY too much candy!
