October seems so long ago now. Lily had her 18 month wellness check. She was 30 pounds and at the top of the charts for both weight and height. She's in 24 month-2T clothes, and even some 3T stuff. She's still in size 5 diapers, and is wearing size 7 shoes. She still
loves hair. Her favorite toys are baby dolls and books, and she's currently obsessed with the cartoon, Peppa Pig. If she wants to watch Peppa, she'll walk up to you and
snort (like a pig) until you change the channel. She's really been saying more words, and repeating a lot.
"Uh oh" is a favorite of hers, and I love the "oh" part! Another new trick is pretending to go to sleep. She'll snore (pretty loudly) and then look at you and giggle.

I had to take Lily back to the doctor a week after her 18 month check up, but not because she was "sick". I was in Lily's room one evening laying out her clothes for the next day when she walks in, and then stops and starts screaming. Her hands were up to her ears when she stopped and started screaming and I ran right over to her, because it was an "I'm in pain scream". When I bent down to pick her up, something dropped out of her hand. I looked down, and it was a bobby pin. I knew exactly what she had done at that point. She had shoved a bobby pin in her ear. I called Joel after she didn't calm down, and he agreed that since she wasn't bleeding, she was probably ok. The next morning she woke up, and there was some drainage coming out of her ear. I made an appointment and got her into the doctor. Dr. Gibbs said she just scratched some of the membrane, and gave us some ear drops to stop any infection that she may get. She said we were very lucky and that it could have been much worse.

Joel's cousin had a wiener roast one evening, and I took the girls since Joel was still working in the field and would be home late. "Baby Alaina" as Ainsley says was there, and the girls were excited to see her. Ainsley had lots of fun playing with Brayden's toys....that is until I heard her screaming. I ran around the side of the garage to see what was wrong, and it looked like she had fallen down, so I asked one of the other little girls what had happened. She shrugged her shoulders and said: "I don't know, she said something about a worm." I just started laughing. Ainsley was sitting on her butt playing with the tractors, and saw a worm and freaked out! That was our cue to leave.

Alaina and Lily |
The girls get along most of the time, which is nice. It seems like most of the pictures I have of them, they're being civil to each other. I guess when they're fighting, I'm too busy trying to pry them apart! I did find
a video of one of their most common feuds....pulling each other's hair. I absolutely love
Ainsley's giggle in this one! Of course, we can't pay too much attention to Lily without big sister getting jealous,
as you can see here.

Watching Daddy mow while having a snack |
We always thought Ainsley was ornery, but I think Lily's a little worse. Not only does she learn from her Daddy, but she also watches her big sister non stop. She's so stinking cute, though, so it's hard to do anything but laugh at her.

I found this picture on my phone one morning. Ainsley caught her little sister picking her nose! |

Ainsley went right over one morning while dropping Ainsley off at school and sat down right beside Ainsley. She didn't want to go back home that morning! |

She learned a new trick at lunch one day |
Here's a
video of her doing her new trick of putting her shirt over her head....

Bed head after nap time |
We went to the Halloween parade, and couldn't have asked for a nicer evening. The weather was perfect, and the girls loved the parade. We ended up having to empty their bucket at one point, because it was so full of candy!
