Christmas begins

Our Christmas festivities started the Sunday before Christmas, and it ended up being a very busy day for us.  We started out by heading to Mom and Mark's that morning for breakfast and presents.  Ainsley got to open a few presents at the sitter's earlier that week and was very excited opening them, and I was excited to see her reaction to the rest of the presents she would be getting.
Ainsley, Lily and Rowdy
I tried getting a few pictures of the girls, but that didn't work, so I tried getting a few of the girls with Rowdy and I got a couple.  Of course, Hudson was fashionably late, so he didn't get in the picture.

My girls really don't need to be watching Rowdy so closely.  You never know what he'll teach them!

The man of the hour finally arrived (no I'm not talking about Thomas), so we could get started.
Rowdy and Ainsley had fun passing out the presents, before sitting down and opening some of their own.

Lily just sat back and took it all in, while chewing on anything she could get her hands on.  From the pictures, I'd say the poor girl needed a bib.

It didn't take the kids long to start ripping into the presents.  Ainsley was interested in all of Rowdy's toys, of course.

I thought for sure we left the flute there, but somehow it came home with us.
Ainsley was really excited to open up her baby doll.  She asked Santa for a baby doll!

Ainsley did Grandma Shelly's hair with some new clips she got for Christmas and sang everyone D-D-D-D-D-Dora with her new Dora microphone.

After all the presents were opened, I tried getting a picture of all four of the grandkids together, but that's impossible with my daughter.  I won't name which one, but I will say her name starts with an "A" and ends with a "y".  My other daughter, however, rocked it out and even gave Mommy some different facial expressions.

What is it about Rowdy that makes kids entranced?

Hudson pretty entranced with Rowdy too!
I was able to get a quick family picture before heading out for Aunt Roycelyn's for lunch.
