Putt Putt For Life

Saturday I went down to Carlinville to participate in the Putt Putt for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  Our team, The Bunco Birdies, consisted of myself, Alaina, Becky, Gretchen, and Katie.  I didn't think I would be able to drink with the medicine I was on for my shingles, but my favorite pharmacist assured me I could, so the day turned out to be pretty good!

We started out at the Wood Duck and then were released to go to any stop in any order, as long as we were back to The Anchor by 6.  Gretchen started the day off right with a hole in one at our first stop, Hollywood and Vine!!!  It only takes a few drinks before I start feeling the alcohol, so it didn't take very long for me to really start having fun!
Not for sure if this is before or after Alaina decided to be the DJ at Lucky Dog's!

A shot in the middle of a Saturday afternoon....don't mind if I do!

We all had a good time that afternoon and it was nice to hang out with the girls and have an afternoon without kids.  Kara was there with another team, and by the end of the day I think everyone was feeling a little tipsy.  Everyone that was in the Anchor around 6 Saturday night knows that Kara is my aunt, because she only announced it to the entire bar at least 5 times.  They said my face was about as pink as my shirt!
In case you didn't know....she's my aunt!

Puttin at the Anchor
My favorite scorekeeper...Dave!  I miss working with him at Prairie Farms!!!!
Our team and two others tied for first place, so we had a putt-off to determine the winners.  Gretchen putted for us, and we ended up getting third place!  She had to putt against her sister, so it was an intense competition!!!

Yay for 3rd place!!!!
A lot of money was raised for the American Cancer Society and it was a great success!  Joel stayed at Lou's while we putted all afternoon and since it was Cinco de Mayo, all the guys came in and met us at the Mexican restaurant to eat supper.  Some were a little easier to talk into eating mexican food than others, but everyone ended up going.  By this time, Alaina was quite tipsy and embarrassed quite a few of the patrons of the restaurant!  Gotta love her!
End of the night eating Mexican and drinking margaritas
Matt and Butch weren't very happy with the menu, but they ended up ordering a steak, which was my suggestion since that's what Tanner gets when he goes to the Mexican restaurant because he refuses to try anything different.  Let's just say the country boys weren't very impressed with the food!
Matt's wondering what exactly was on his place.  HA!
Jim and Rita kept Ainsley for us that afternoon, and we had to get back to Bluffs to get her, so once we were done eating, we headed home.  We got to Jim and Rita's around 10 and Ainsley was asleep on Grandpa's lap.  She woke up before we got  her out to the car, and then fell asleep again on the way home.  I guess she just needed another short nap because once we got home, she was wound up!  We finally had to put her in her crib a little after midnight to fall asleep.

We ran over to Jim and Rita's one afternoon earlier in the week to look at their columns on their house.  We wanted to make sure we knew what ours would look like once they came in and figure our front porch situation out.  Jennifer and Drake were down there, and Drake had lots of fun pushing Ainsley around in the little doll stroller.  Ainsley was a good "baby" and sat still while Drake pushed her.
