She's been taking the clothes off her babies, and saying "bath" afterwards, so I think I need to get her a baby for the bathtub.
She's started adding "mom" or "daddy" to the end of telling us "no-no". So, now I hear "no-no, Mom" fifty times a day.
Lisa's told me a few stories on our adorable daughter from this week. Drake went to Lisa's one day, and Lisa said Drake and Ainsley were under the big bouncy horse playing together. Will was in the other room playing, but could see Drake and Ainsley. Lisa said she told Will he could get under there and play with Ainsley and Drake if he wanted. Lisa said not long after she said that, Ainsley got out from under the horse, went over to Will, and told him "no-no". She didn't want Will playing with them!
Today, Ainsley and Blaine were watching tv and Lisa and Jace were in the other room with the toys. Lisa said Jace looked in the other room and yelled out "bottom". Lisa got up to see what he was talking about, and she said Ainsley was standing in front of the tv and her entire butt was hanging out. She had pulled her pants and diaper down! When she tries pulling her pants down, she also pulls her diaper down, so I guess we have to watch her now and make sure she doesn't start stripping down!!!
Ainsley hums all the time. She can be playing with her doll, getting ready to eat, or putting her coat on, and she'll start humming. I think she's going to be like Lani, who constantly has to make some kind of noise. Help us now!!!

She loves putting money in her piggy bank! |
If I ask her to kiss the baby, she'll give my belly kisses. I think she can tell that something has changed, but she still has no clue that a baby sister is coming. If Joel has his hands on my belly, Ainsley thinks she needs to put her hands on it. Of course, she won't leave them still long enough to actually feel the baby kick.
We had a tax appointment one evening this week and dropped Ainsley off at Mom's. We were already running late, and there was still some snow on the ground. As I was backing out of the driveway, I could feel my car start to pull, but my wonderful husband told me (I should probably say yell at me) to turn the wheel. I turned the wheel, and the next thing I knew, I was in the yard and my tires were spinning. The front end of my car was pointed straight toward the pond, and going downhill toward it. Once I knew I was stuck and wasn't going anywhere, I put it in park. Joel really loved that, and I got yelled at again because I didn't keep going. Of course, I didn't want to end up in the pond! I'm surprised I didn't go into early labor with all the yelling he did, and the worrying I did about my car going into the pond!
We ended up taking Mom's car, so we could make our appointment. By the time we got back, Mark and Tanner had already got my car out of the yard and parked in the driveway. Of course, Ainsley didn't know anything happened. She was too busy playing with the puppy, and in the dog kennel.
I do have to say that when I got stuck, it was nothing like how my husband gets stuck. He's the one that got stuck in Mom and Mark's yard on Christmas Eve a few years ago and we had to call a tow truck to get him out. He also just happened to get stuck in the baby sitter's yard this morning after dropping Ainsley off. Lisa's husband had to pull him out! As much as he yelled at me the other night, you would have thought he was perfect and never got stuck!!!
Joel also wanted me to clarify that he really does know how to spell "igloo" and he was just trying to sound "redneck" when he spelled it to me as "eglue" the other day. I'll let everyone decide on their own if he really knows how to spell it. I got a text from him today (from his iPhone, that has spell check on it) asking me if I had got our new laptop "bot" yet. I replied back and let him know that, yes, I had BOUGHT a new laptop. Like I said, he's not going to be teaching our kids spelling at any time!
We went down to Greenfield last weekend for 'Puttin' Round the Block'. We were team "I'd Tap That, Again". Everyone had a good time, including me until the last hole. I tried to hang in as long as I could, but my back and feet were absolutely killing me by the time we got to the last hole. We started at 1 that afternoon and didn't get done at the last hole until 6:30 or so. I was beyond ready to go home and get in bed. Thankfully, Jim and Rita kept Ainsley all night for us, so I was able to get a good nights sleep.
This weekend is "Operation Move Furniture Around", so I've been busy over the last week getting stuff organized so we can move the bedroom furniture out of the basement, my desk down to the basement bedroom, and the baby's furniture into my old office. Ainsley loves to "help" us with anything we're doing. It usually means it takes us twice as long to get things done, but at least she's having fun!

I guess she thought some work needed to be done. |
Lou is coming over tomorrow to help move all the furniture, so I'm sure there are going to be many fights with Ainsley trying to keep her away. Hopefully we can get most of it done this weekend so I can start painting the baby's room!
