Polar Express

Mom and Mark were able to take Ainsley and Rowdy to the Polar Express in St. Louis at the beginning of December.  Mark took Ainsley and Rowdy last year to Monticello, and I was in charge of ordering the tickets for that train ride when the tickets went on sale June 1st, but I completely dropped the ball and forgot all about it.  The tickets literally sell out in minutes, and by the time I remembered (at 9 am) they were all gone.  I was devastated, because I know how much Ainsley enjoyed it last year.

Thankfully, Union Station brought the Polar Express to St. Louis this year, and we were able to get tickets.  I let someone else be in charge of actually ordering the tickets this time, because I didn't want to screw it up again!  I decided Lily was too young to go this year (and like I've mentioned before, she's scared of everything, so she probably wouldn't have enjoyed it), so it was just Ainsley and Rowdy that went.

I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that everyone had a great time, including Grandma and Papa!

All Aboard!

They got hot chocolate and a cookie, and got to dance in the aisles.  Mom and Mark said Ainsley was quite the dancer this year and had a blast!

Ainsley still talks about going on the train ride, and loves looking at her snow globe with the train in it.  I'm anxious to see how Grandma and Papa handle this year's ride now that there are more grandkids in the picture!!
