I'll be the first to admit that I'm not crafty. I just don't have "it". I like to try something every once in a while, but once or twice a year is about all I can handle. Someone has a birthday coming up in a few weeks, so I've been working on stuff for her party. Of course, it's going to be a Minnie Mouse theme, and thanks to Pinterest and Etsy I've been able to find quite a few cute things.
I made her birthday shirt a few weekends ago. I was pretty impressed with myself, even if all I had to do was iron the decal and number on....I still felt like I did something! I found the Minnie head, bow, and number on Etsy. I bought a white shirt and then ironed each of the things on the shirt. I'm sure noone will notice, but Minnie's bow is upside down. Oops! I told you I wasn't very good at crafting!
I made her a birthday banner last night. Of course, I had a little help from the birthday girl, so it took me twice as long as it should have, but Ainsley seems to like it.
After a very difficult decision, we decided to have Ainsley's birthday party at our house this year with just immediate family and close friends. It's so expensive to rent a building, plus it's a huge hassle, so we're doing it small this year. My family is just way too big and everyone won't fit in our house. I'm working on a post to show everyone just how big my family is, so watch for it in the coming weeks. We're lucky to have such a big family, but it makes it very hard to see everyone.
Joel kept Ainsley yesterday afternoon and I ran over to Springfield to look at nursery furniture for baby #2. I'm planning on ordering it this week. I just need to find bedding now and decide on what color to paint. That also means we have to get my desk moved out of baby #2's room and down to the basement sometime over the next few months. There's going to be lots of rearranging in this house.
Ainsley seems to be feeling better today. She didn't throw up at all Friday night, which was so nice. We thought we were finally done with that, until last night. Ten minutes after she fell asleep last night, she started coughing and threw up all over. She coughed pretty good during her nap today, but didn't throw up. Hopefully we have a good night tonight. We're planning on putting her back in her crib tonight, but we'll see how that goes!
I'm so glad Ainsley's feeling better, but now I'm sick again. I woke up this morning and felt like crap. I finally started feeling a little better about 7 tonight, but I laid either in bed or on the couch all day today. I'm stuffed up, have chills and then am burning up, ran a little fever, don't have an appetite, and my whole body just hurts. I was able to get a few crackers and cheese down this afternoon, but haven't ate anything else today. After taking another nap late this afternoon and then taking a shower, I feel better, so hopefully it was short lived and I feel much better in the morning.
Ainsley has started to take an interest in my growing belly. Actually, it's just my belly button that has started to pop out. She thinks she has to lift my shirt and poke my belly button. Here's a picture of her trying to get it last night. (25 weeks)
